Been playing bass for Kinsey & Company since Novenmber. Really digging it. Just built a website for the band.

Music Shitz:
Buying a new mixer this week: an Allen & Heath MixWizard3 16 ch. Mostly for studio but I'll prolly drag it to some gigs just 'cause I like it.

General Shitz:
It's been awhile since I updated anything here ... still slingin' booze for "Grandpa" (fun job/great boss) ... just got back from a weekend at my in-laws lake house, south-east of Dallas, Texas - had a great time ... missing the lake already ...

Music Shitz:
Had taken some time away from solo live gigs ... did alot of writing ... prepping two new albums for seperate projects ... BUT NOW: I'm back gigging live solo stuffs ... playing July 31st @ Bru House, on Brookside, Tulsa Ok - gonna' be alot of fun playing solo/acoustic for a crowd again ... in the midst of booking and will post any new gigs quickly ...

Studio Shitz:
Had to drop studio biz to a super low for awhile due to two mixers dying (one right after the other) BUT: I bought a friggin' sweet laptop right before X-Mas ... and JUST purchased two Focusrite Saffire Pro 40, firewire soundcards ... went thru some crap making them all work happily together, but now everything is running smoothly and I'm about to advertise the studio again and get it back in full operation ... can't wait ... I sooo miss recording others ...

I start work wednesday at "Grandpa's Liquor Cabinet" (124 St South & Memorial) ... They've got a pretty kickin' selection of brews ... You should drop in, say howdy and grab yourself a pick-six ... and if I'm not in, tell'm I sent ya ... :D

Music Shitz:
I've got demo's for The Compilations and my solo gig out all over Tulsa but no new gigs yet ... of course I'll post them here as soon as they come up ... We're really anxious to get back out there playing again ... You can do us a huge favor and request "Steven Paul" and/or "The Compilations" at your favorite bars ... :D

See - I ask so little ... and in return - we all get drunk and boogie ... ;P

Music Shitz:
My new cover band (The Compilations) is finally ready to gig ... playing at The Keystone Saloon (Sand Springs) saturday and The Angus Inn (Broken Arrow) on New years Eve ... also started gigging acoustic shows again with Fujita-5 (F5) ... we play every other tuesday at The Keystone Saloon ... ALSO-also - started gigging acoustic with Neil Dirickson, the other guitarist/singer in my cover band ... we're playing Friday at The Angus Inn ... it SURE IS NICE to be out there playing and making a few $$'s from it again ... and best: playing with good friends ... can't beat that ...

More Music Shitz:
Keep your eyes and ears out for "The Outlaw Federation" ... a big, new multi-artist project that I'm involved in (music and web/graphic design)... we just got the website up/still under major construction ... but we've got tons of fun shizzle planned for the near and distant future ... I'll post more news about it as things get under way ...

Had a first rehearsal with a new band and it went great ... Jeremy (my Japanese Cowboys cohort), Neil and Karen (of Nude Furniture) ... got a really nice mix of tunes collectively picked out ... working up material and planning a second rehearsal soon ... may also be performing a bit duo-acoustic with Neil ... will start working on that as well this week ... ahhh, it's good to have musical companions again ... especially a group who shares such similiar tastes in music and are as insane as I ... I'm anxious to get stuff down enough to record some demos ...

Ok ... yeah ... so I haven't posted here in awhile ... I've been a lil' busy ... sooo ... here goes catchin' up:

I updated the website to make it a lil' more "Steve's musical thingies promotion" friendly ...

Musical shitz:
Recorded demos for myself (solo acoustic) and my band (Sporkology), passed them around town and awaited calls ... in the meantime, as no calls had arrived in over a month, I accepted an offer to play drums for Doc Holliday (formerly Lariat, who I played bass with for awhile) ... just a few days after we had a single successful rehearsal, I get a call back from Crow Creek Tavern and get my solo gig booked twice AND Sporkology once ... that's awesome BUT, NOW I'll be playing my first ever live drummer gig the 4th & 5th of april, the very next night I play the solo acoustic gig, four days later Sporkology plays our first ever gig together, the very next two nights I'm back on drums with Doc Holliday ... man, what a week (or lil over) that's gonna' be ... whew! ... I haven't played live in awhile ... I'm worn out just thinking about it all ... quite stoked as well tho ... heh ...

SOOOOOOO ... if you're free April 6th, 10th, or 20th, come see me play guitar and sing pop rock w/and w/out band ... and/or the 5th, 6th, 11th & 12th, come see me keep the beat funky-groovy playing some country and classic rock ... C'mon ... I know you wanna' ...

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ... I can finally say - #1: we're all healthy again, whew! ... #2: the studio is finished and pics are posted! ... *-* HERE *-* ... and I'm kickin' back and drinking some Smithwicks :D ... ALSO, I will be working here on a demo for my brand new band this sat/sun ... teaming up again with Doug Hart (drums/vox - Spin Cycle/Greeny & the Blind Guy) and Jake Brown (bass/vox - Spin Cycle) ... will post results as soon as the tunes are complete ...

Well ... Yet again we've had more (sarcasm alert) wonderful-funderful delays in finishing the last of the bullschnizzle up here and getting pics posted ... first: monday morning, my dear, dear friend PJ Tanner sadly lost his wonderful wife of 9 years to complications due to diabetes ... We all love her very much and she will be greatly missed ... next: I had to take my wife, Amy, to the hospital and learn that she has pneumonia ... ugh ... I've been taking good care of her and she's improving, but still extremely sore from all the major coughing spells ... and THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to MY PARENTS for helping us out so much and taking care of her whilst I had to work ... she and I both have the most wonderful families ... despite the trials and tribulations of late, extremely blessed, we are ...

Sooo ... yet again I say, I'll get things straightened up around here as soon possible and post all the pics ... or not ... haha

Welcome to the first update from the newly converted studio ... YAY!!! ... yup, I'm FINALLY typing from the finished control room ... I still have ALOT of stuff to plug in and put away, but it's sooooo good to be moved in ... as soon as all is straightened out in here (a day or so) I'll post all the pics of the project ...

Wonderful, funderful delays ... I turned wrong and jammed the corner of a piece of sheetmetal into the back of my lefthand thumb ... cut a 3/4 inch long - 1/2 inch deep gash ... saw my tendon ... that's a strange experience ... The Doc gave me a choice of 4-5 stitches OR medical grade crazy glue ... I took the glue ... also got a tetanus shot ... more funderful, wonderful ewww ... oh well, seems to have patched up nicely ... just sucks being pseudo-thumbless on that hand for awhile ... I'm still going to finish the studio this week ... texturing the walls and then painting ... then moving all my crapolium in ... yay!!! ...

Studio Shitz / "If you build it, they will come":
Finished with most of the major building stuff ... wired and installed track lighting and dimmers ... working on making it all look pretty now ... been having a bitch of a time finding an electrician who's not too busy to wire a breaker sub-panel, so the electrical upgrade is still on temporary hold AND THAT means there's still two places (where outlet wires will be going thru the walls) that I can't finish drywalling yet ... oh well, what can ya' do? ... may have to learn to do some deeper electrical before all is said and done ... ugh ...

Promises, promises:
I know, I know ... I keep claiming I have pics of all the remodeling and I keep managing to NOT post them ... I keep thinking I'll get it all looking almost finished soon and THEN post everything ... just taking awhile to get that far ... sooo ... if I got's to be patient awaiting the using/enjoying of the finished works - then everyone else can be patient awaiting gawkin' at it ... or not ... who really cares anyhoo? ... heh ... anyways - soon, soon ...

Bought a cheap desk so I'm off the floor ... it's nice to sit in a chair again :D ...

Walled off the garage / finished framing and insulating / halfway thru drywalling ... will finish that monday and move on to framing the drum room ...

It's all taking much longer than I'd like, but it's getting there ... whew! ... I've got pics but I'm too lazy to post them right now ... I'll get them up soon tho ...

First update from the new house ... :D

Finished flooring and painting the master bedroom / got cable net and tv installed ... got one computer here now, but no desk yet (I'm sitting in the floor right now) ... going to re-check all my measurements tomorrow and then start buying lumber to wall off the garage ... I'll post some pics very soon ...

We're moved into the new house ... in the process of reflooring / removing a wall right now ... will wall off the garage / wire it for mass energy consumption / install seperate ac-heat, after the house remod's done ... I can't wait to get it all finished / sit back and have a nice stout (or 6 ... or 8) and just say "whew!" ...
