For whatever good it does ... the webcam's are randomly active again (if I'm here, they're on) ... so, if you're lookin' for some steamy "nerd-on-computer" action ... you're in luck ... see the cam page ...

General Shitz:
Well ... here it is almost 2007 ... and me almost 38 friggin' years old, ugh ... that's sooo close to 40, it hurts ... oh well, what can ya do, huh? ... Still completely excited about wedding my sweet love the end of Jan ... that DOES make everything mucho better ... AND my closest bro's are gonna' make the treck to Dallas to participate in the wedding ... that's also quite wonderful, :D ... longing to be on that beach during the honeymoon ... soon, soon, soon ... Mmmmm ...

Nerdy shitz:
We ordered my mom a laptop from Dell ... as expected, it showed up loaded with crap ... got that all cleaned off and it's running well now ... and I'm jealous of it, heh ... my pop also replaced his old ass 17" CRT monitor with a nice 19" widescreen LCD ... which I'm also quite jealous of, haha ... my folks may not quite be nerds too, but they're doing ok, heh ... I'm proud of'm ... think I'll keep'm, haha ... I DID at least nab myself a new dual layer 18x Sony DVD burner to replace my old, slow ass 4x (ugh) ... Also, my wonderful very-soon-to-be in-laws gave me a Best-Buy gift card for X-Mas, which I used to get another 250GB/16MB cache hard drive to go in my external USB case ... bringing me to a happy terabyte of compelete storage ... that rocks ... altho, Amy and I will be making goofy ass puppet show videos and will use that space up quickly, heh ... we brought back a big box full of stuffed animals when we came back from Texas last, that we'll make into new puppets to add to my already silly collection ... yup, that's what you get to look forward to on this site ... more goof-ass puppet vids soon ... hehe ...

Sunday, December 17th, 2006:

General Shitz:
Just got back from two weeks in Dallas ... we did all the pre-marital counceling with Amy's pastor ... it went really well ... I had a really good time hanging out with my future in-laws and meeting quite a few of Amy's friends ... good to be back home, but that means getting back to "work" too ... fun, fun ... Amy's here now too and we'll be trotting around T-town over the next week as she passes her resume around ... oh, and I brought back 4 bottles of El Fenix hot salsa! ... the tastiest bottled salsa I've ever had ... nice bite too :D ...

Monday, December 4th, 2006:

General Shitz:
Been digitizin' my past ... scanned a shitload of pics, news articles and flyers from all my old bands ... also dumped a crapload of personal and band stuff from long forgotten cassettes into the comp ... including both Mellowdramatic Wallflowers album release parties and 3 Flapjack Cancer Co gigs from the Brink ... gonna drop a buncha' video footage in soon too ... will post some of it soon ...

General Shitz:
Wedding plans still moving forward nicely ... bout got everything worked out ... gonna' send out the invitations this coming week (if ya don't get one, don't be insulted. We're keeping it really small and intimate) ... bought me a black suit so I can look all purdy for the occasion (ya, she wouldn't go for me wearin' jeans, Guinness t-shirt and camo dew-rag, heh) ... REALLY looking forward to the honeymoon ... we'll be lounging on a beach for awhile in an undisclosed location (hehe) ...

Studio shitz:
Just re-did my portable multi-track rig (R2D2) ... not quite as nice, neat and compact as a laptop, but it rocks all the same ... pics are up on the studio pics page ...

Finally got a good start on the Back Porch Gospel album ... then my dad, then I, and then Amy (whilst here visiting, no less) came down with a horrible stomach virus ... with all that in the past now and all of us healthy again, I'm getting back on the BPG project ...

Thursday, November 9th, 2006:

General Shitz:
Well ... no more country band ... things were going well and all of a sudden ker-plop, it's all over ... oh well, it was fun whilst it lasted AND I got a smokin' sweet bass amp I wouldn't have bought otherwise ... anyway, time to move on to other things ... I'm really looking forward to marriage ... we're still trying to figure out how/where exactly we'll be living, but everything is looking up ... Amy has some good job prospects here ... I've got a couple of projects coming thru the studio, I'm getting decent comp repair/building work and I may pick up a lil' extra work thru the Tulsa Sound Union ... still gonna' look around for another live bass gig tho ... and I'll keep working on the backing drum/bass tracks for my solo live gig ... maybe finally get that off the ground ... gonna' keep playing somehow/somewhere ... and maybe NOW I can make time to finish the rest of THIS site, haha ... I still have alot of pics to scan and upload ... oh well, we'll see, heh ...

Studio shitz:
Swapped some stuff for a Behringer UB2442FX-Pro 16 channel mixer to add to my live PA rig or use as an extra sub-mixer. It's 4 bus and has direct outs on the first 8 channels ... handy for a small live recording setup too ...

Website Shitz:
Added a test to see if you're tonedeaf HERE ...

Life:
Ok ... just got back from Dallas ... spent the week there with the love of my life ... and no, I don't mean beer, heh ...

Sooo, finally, here's what's up: Labor Day weekend lead Amy, my ex-love from some years ago, back into my life again in an incredible way ... we've always stayed the closest of friends over the years, but never thot we'd ever get back together ... we hadn't seen each other in 4 years ... she simply needed a break and just came to Tulsa to visit and see my band play ... well, we just hit it off like never before ... we've both "grown up" alot and dropped all the bullshit that split us up before ... things just worked ... ... we're both trying to be careful but, when things are right, you just have to "take the money and run" ... no date set yet, but we're getting married soon ... all we were REALLY worried about was our folks ... and mine and hers are both being completely supportive ... but that has ALOT to do with what great, loving parents we both have ... worried about our welfare but totally happy, trusting and encouraging us after seeing how happy we are together ... and honestly, I've never been happier in my life ... I'll post more soon ... once we set a date and work out a few more bugs ... for now, say a prayer and raise a toast for us ... and make sure it's with a good stout! :D heh ...

Band shitz:
Got a message on myspace from a good ol' friend that he and his gf are coming from St. Loius to Owasso, Okla (Jack of Clubs) to see my band play this weekend ... that'll be really cool to hang with them a bit ... the band HAD talked about video-taping this weekends gigs BUT I think the blank-tape-funds are still too low to cover it ... so we'll kick some ass and NOT have it documented, oh well, haha ... it'll still be a really good weekend ...

Studio shitz:
That used 8-in/10-out soundcard I added to the system is in need of repair (ugh) ... and it MIGHT not be repairable ... (even bigger UGH) ... dunno what's gonna' happen with that ... HOWEVER, I DID just start a big project AND have a couple more awaiting that will cover the new 24 channel mixer AND HOPEFULLY replace the cards I have now with a pair of new firewire 24/192 12-in/12-out cards ... having to drop the dreams of replacing the ol' CRT mons with widescreen LCD's for a while tho ... but that's life sometimes, ain't it? ...

Thursday, September 26th, 2006:

Studio shitz:
Added another 8-in/10-out soundcard ... and I'm up to 24-in/30-out total ... ahhh the smell of more gear ... just need that new mixer to go with it ...

Thursday, September 24th, 2006:

It's truly nice, the rare times that life doesn't shit on you for awhile ... I'm relishing in one of those times at the moment ... still awaiting some things to fall into a proper order and become stable and semi-predictable from day-to-day, before I can post much about them ... good ol' personal soap-opera shiznitium ... but over-all everything's great ... and I can't complain ... I know this REALLY isn't much of an update about anything ... I was sitting here, enjoying a couple Mackeson's and just felt like posting ... so there ... heh ...

Thursday, September 7th, 2006:

Wow, life can REALLY throw you a curveball sometimes ... not a bad thing at all ... it makes sure you're awake, haha ... things I could not have foreseen 3 months ago ... not only am I playing in a friggin' country band and actually loving it ... I also just got the most wonderful and unexpected break in my love life ... (ya, those who know me are saying "ok ... so you discovered a new porn site and new brand of scotch, so what?", heh ... not the case at all, however) ... I'm just the happiest lil' fuggin' camper at the moment ... as things work themselves properly into place, I'll post some actual details ... for now that's all ya get on - "As the Steve turns" ... no more re-runs tho, heh ...

Tuesday, August 29th, 2006:

General shitz:
I FINALLY got a friggin' cell phone again ... yay for me ... like a friend said "dude, you finally caught up with the 90's", haha ... AND I'm about to get the ol' 4-Runner in the shop and "4-Running" again, heh ... will be nice to be boogie'n in the rust-mobile again.

Band shitz:
Played yet another really fun weekend with Lariat the 19th & 20th @ the "Jack of Clubs" in Collinsville ... playing again this weekend @ "Westbound", 61st & 33rd W. Ave ... the band has such a great crowd following them ... I'm lookin' forward to the gigs.

Website shitz:
I FINALLY got off my ass enough to get a forum up and working here ... PHPBB ... just learning to tweak the templates now so I can eventually incorperate it into this sites design ... for now it loads into a new page ... will replace the CGI guestbook on the Lariat site with the same forum in the next day or so.

Studio shitz:
Had to spend my upgrade fundage on a bass amp to do the live thingy, but I'm finally able to start chucking $$$'s aside for the studio again ... still planning on upgrading the hardware mixer / adding a software mixer / AND switching my four 17" CRT mons for three 19" widescreen LCD's ... (dreams never die, heh)

Tuesday, August 15th, 2006:

Giggin' Fri & Sat:
Well ... the second weekend on bass with the Lariat boys (and first weekend with the "real" guitarist) went great ... had a blast ... and saw lots of boob flashin', can't beat that with a pointy stick, heh ... and best of all ... just your normal average allotment of bar retards instead of a mass of'm ... heh ... and I'm still REALLY diggin' the new amp :D ... it's way too much fun seeing how much Victor Wooten-ish slap funk I can get away with slippin' into the country sets, haha.

Studio:
Finished tracking vocals and mixed down the Citizen Zero stuff Sunday evening ... we bought beer and got just a tiny bit toastier than planned, heh, BUT the mixes turned out really kickin'. Check'm out HERE.

Wednesday, August 2nd, 2006:

Played the weekend OKC gigs with Lariat ... went very well ... had fun ... I swear tho, there must have been a down syndrome assisted living center right around the corner from the club ... cause we partied with the retards ... super friendly folks, but wow, there were a bunch of of messed up freaky people there ... and yes they were all drinking ... haha ... whew ...

The best part of the night ... the new bass amp kicked some friggin' ass ... can't wait to add the 1 15" cab to it ... NOW I just gotta' make myself remember what it's like to be a bassist again.

Wednesday, August 2nd, 2006:

Well ... I got suckered into playing country yet again ... hehe ... not really "suckered" ... Playing bass for Lariat ... good friends & crazy bastards ... it'll be alotta' fun ... AND, to get the job done RIGHT ... I just ordered a Fender Bassman 250 watt / 2 10" combo bass amp ... will add a 1 15" cab to it soon ... THAT'll be a fun toy to play with, hehe.

Wednesday, July 19th, 2006:

Dorking around with cams ... been using an old Sony Handycam thru a Dazzle USB 1.0 capture device and it's nice and clean ... just added a Logitech Quickcam IM, USB 2.0, 1.3 megapixel to the stream ... it's a hair more grainy than the Handycam/Dazzle combo ... but with using it's "low light setting", it looks decent ... Handycam/Dazzle is top stream and Logitech is bottom.

Saturday, July 16th, 2006:

Yup ... welcome to the first of the "news" installments ... now if I can ONLY remind myself to keep this page updated ... ugh ... heh.

Studio:
Finished mixing down the "Tribe of Souls" acoustic album over the weekend. Got "Citizen Zero" in the studio next weekend and "Back Porch Gospel" sometime fairly soon.

For now ... if there's actually someone reading this ... thankies for putting up with my slowness, :D.
